SMA SunnyBoy Display Not Lighting Up & Fan Stays On
We've seen this issue come up multiple times before with Sunny Boy inverters when the ribbon cable for the display on the cover isn't plugged into the display board of the inverter OR when it's plugged in backwards. Just double check your ribbon cable from the connection unit lid to the display board inside and ensure that it's plugged in. If it's plugged in but not working, check to see if it's plugged in backwards. If the ribbon cable is attached to the display board backwards, the inverter can produce power, but the login will be disabled, the display won't light up, and the fan will often run constantly.
This should get you up and running in no time. Let us know if you have any additional issues getting your inverter to function properly.
